On the occasion of World Environment Day, and the Year of the Forests, Gulf Air has
put together a drawing competition in cooperation with UNEP – united nations environmental program, as well as Ministry of Education.

The competition involved 300 government schools to draw or paint drawings that reflected saving the forests and animals.

The drawings were collected, and then a panel of 5 Bahraini artists decided the top three.
The age groups involved were between 6 years old and 16 year olds.
The top three winners, will be given the same prize.
The prize will be their flying to Cochin, India and actually experiencing the forests and animals in their natural environment – in September 2011.
